How much does it cost at Audio-Audition Digital Studios?

We are a high end - home audio and video studio - capable of mastered CDs and music video promos.  We sequence, record, edit, tune, mix and master CDs. We film, edit and create music videos suitable for agents, clients, fans or personal use.  Most clients choose several services of audio or video or both and we agree on a package price prior to the start of any work.  No surprises.  Some clients just need one or two items fixed and tweaked and prefer to pay by the hour.  You can expect to pay about a 3rd the cost of commercial studios.

What do we offer?

Quality and affordability.  Wayne has recorded bands and singer/songwriters since his early teens, using analog 2-track reel to reel and 4 and 8 track tape.  Then digital 24-track ADAT and currently 128+ track digital hard disc.  He has an associates degree in electronics and computers, bachelors degree in business and years of music education.  He has performed in numerous bands and still gigs.  He is versed in video techniques including lighting essentials and post production editing.  Paula (an artist) and Wayne receive an enormous amount of satisfaction assisting emerging new artists on a budget or established local bands looking for a new quality promo.

Will the product be a cut above?

Yes.  We have extensive knowledge of instrument frequencies, room acoustics, integrity of the audio processing chain, stage and studio lighting and video techniques.  Wayne and Paula have written, performed and recorded several songs of their own and with other artists and have filmed numerous bands and solo artists "live" on stage, "live" in the studio and pre-recorded multi-cam lip-sync studio video shoots.  Pricing comes down to the number of performers, how long it takes to film or record their tracks and how much time they wish to spend in editing, vocal tuning, post-production and mastering.

Should you purchase your own audio recorder/software to record your CD?

Yes. However, portable $100.00 - $600.00 digital audio recorders are limited. We've owned a few in the past. They are an invaluable tool in creating songs from ideas and they work fine for small club/bar demos.  However, the component quality and editing options in most of these units are marginal for creating a commercial CD ready for major air play.  Home computer audio recording software is now very good, but you have to know how to use it to it's fullest potential and have the supporting equipment to capture and process the sound.  This takes years to learn and a lot of $$$ to invest in what you really need.  Bring your CD or tracks to our studio and listen to them come alive with professional equipment and expertise.

Are we as good as the big, expensive guys?

Yes and No. Some cases not quite as good, but . . .  we are very, very close . . . and so is our equipment!  And we do it at a fraction of the cost.  An A&R Rep from Capitol Records, Los Angeles heard 4 of our recordings and mastering projects and commented on how good it was.  Agents are using our client videos to promote their bands locally, nationally and internationally.

What don't we do?

We do not charge for lunch breaks, equipment setup/strike, discussion or mass duplication.

Any guarantees?

We guarantee that we can provide you with a professional quality studio or "live" audio recording, or, a studio or "live" filmed video.  We will mix the CD or master it to commercially acceptable standards.  Our DVDs will play anywhere (TV, portable or computer DVD players). You will have full input about the project unless it is contradictory to our sound judgement, in which case we will not accept the project.  When requested, we will offer recommendations. Our studio will not record discriminating or vulgar lyrics or film pornography.

So, if you are a vocal soloist, a seven piece band or something in between and want a professional quality audio CD or music video DVD at the lowest possible price, then......
